Apprentice carpenters assist other team members by maintaining jobsite cleanliness, moving and stacking materials, assisting in framing and other carpentry duties as needed under supervision of skilled team members.

Job Requirements:

• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.

• Experience in carpentry or related trades a plus.
• Must own or be able to acquire personal hand tools including: hammer, 25′ tape measure, speed square, razor knife, nail puller, torpedo level, screw drivers, flat bar and chalk box.
• Must be able to climb ladders and work at heights as needed.
• Must be able to repeatedly lift heavy weights of 50+ pounds.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English language.

The Lead Carpenter is a master career carpenter responsible for overseeing and implementing daily on site production goals as determined by job Superintendent. Leads a team of 2-6 carpenters. Works closely with Superintendent and client, to ensure the job stays on schedule and within Solstice Builders quality standards. Daily duties will include leading a team of up to 6 carpenters in a variety of production tasks including framing, interior or exterior trim, window and door installation, siding, decking, hand rail installation, etc. Must be able to climb ladders, repeatedly lift heavy tools and materials, be able to safely and properly use common hand and power tools.
